Grandpa always said
Having sex
Was a bit like eating an apple,
If one side doesn’t taste too good –
Turn it over
Take a nibble from the other!
And I tell my kids
To reach for their dreams,
And don’t live life
To please other people.
But,
After 3 decades
Of working too hard
I said God
I’m just too tired to turn 50!
Funny thing is
After all these years,
I’m still trying to learn
This lesson myself,
Taste that fruit
While it’s there,
Because apples
Don’t last forever.
